Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on finance leader to oversee the accounting and financial operations of a growing professional services organization. This role combines strategic financial planning with day-to-day accounting management and will partner closely with company leadership to support business performance, growth initiatives, and financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting and financial operations, including month-end and year-end close.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, financial models, and business performance analyses.
- Monitor profitability, cash flow, expenses, and key financial metrics.
- Manage accounts payable, disbursements, payroll, commissions, and employee reimbursements.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
- Oversee cash management and financial controls.
- Support retirement plan and employee benefit accounting activities.
- Coordinate with external accountants and advisors.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
- Prior Controller, Director of Finance, CFO, or similar leadership experience preferred.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing multiple entities or business units preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience supporting senior leadership and business decision-making
